Hi Leeney, No updates on FuzzyFace - he's just one of the guys now. There's a group of six young gray squirrels all the same size that show up together everyday and hang out around the house. FuzzyFace is probably one of them, but he blends in now and they all look alike. I put out a dish of peanuts in the shell every morning for them - they seem to get more of a kick out of hiding them in the ground (and in my flower pots) then they do of eating them. Then the raccoons come along - sniff out the peanuts - dig them up and eat them almost as fast as the squirrels hide them. The squirrels just don't get it!!! I notice the blue-jays hovering over the squirrels too when they're burying the nuts, and as soon as they leave, the blue-jays swoop down and steal the peanuts.
It was so much fun to raise him as a baby and release him back into the wild, but my main concern then was to have him grow up as "natural" as he could and be squirrelly and independent. I guess he's been another animal success story. Thanks for asking about him. Bonnie

Thanks JD. I think he's still too young to be looking for a mate, but he sure does have a choice for when he's ready. I counted nine gray squirrels at the feeder - that's an increase over the usual six that are there on a daily basis.
I'm glad you were successful with raising the baby turkeys - yes you are correct, most all baby animals are adorable. Bonnie
