Well, I finished my first marathon on October 3, and will be doing my second on one November 8! Thanks for the RD for helping me lose weight and gain some confidence to tackle the mileage! Finishing the first marathon was one of the hardest things I've ever done, so it put a lot of things in perspective. I'm hoping the Outer Banks Marathon coming up will be easier for me.

Congratulations Lesley - I've watched and supported my son when he runs a marathon and it always astounds me that it can be done. I always wonder where the runners get their inner strength from to keep on going. One of the runners told me that the support they get from the cheering sidelines helps to give them the motivation they need to continue at times. Good luck November 8th and know in your heart that the members of the Forum are backing you 100%. Bonnie

Hi Lesley!
I have followed your running blog a bit and I am so proud of you and you definitely inspire me. The best I can do is jog on my trampoline and that exhausts me quickly!!!!
Keep up the good work and let us know how the next marathon goes.
