This is what I made for dinner tonight, I took about 4 cups of regular white mushrooms and sauteed them in a very small amount of olive oil, because the oil brings out a really nice flavor to the fungus. No more then 2 teaspoons. Then I added a cup of apricot juice and some chopped onions with garlic powder and lots of paprika, cooked until most of the liquid had reduced and then added 2 tablespoons of dry milk non fat kind;
Served over brown rice. yum! Served with broccoli greens,,, we eat the leave off of our broccoli plants they are similar to kale.

Hmm... interesting recipe. I checked the fridge and I only have canned button mushroom, will this do?
And also... I have no apricot juice... I think I'll be tweaking your recipe a bit to adjust with what I have.
