Today, I slept in too late to get much rebounding in this morning but I did about 15 or 20 minutes total this morning and this evening of rebound jogging.
I climbed 10 flights of stairs at work today which is 220 stairs.
At home this evening I put in the Jillian 30 day shred DVD and have begun level 2 but can only do about 8 minutes of the 20 minutes. I find each day I get a little furthe though, so maybe by the end of the week I will be able to accomplish the full 20 minutes of level 2. My oldest son is doing it with me and he is incredible and I am very encouraged to see how quickly it is shredding his excess.
I did a little weight lifting also (but nothing major). By posting this, it makes me realize I need to get up earlier tomorrow so that I can accomplish more!

Ditto that, Rhonda! I didn't get to do my tae-bo today until my husband got home and could watch the kids. The whole time I was working out, I kept thinking "if I really want to lose this weight, working out once a day isn't going to cut it." Here's to hoping we both manage to get up earlier and get some exercise in to start out the day!

I'm definately not a morning person - so waking up early isn't an option. More inclined to stay up late.
What is rebounding? Is it the mini trampoline?

Just do whatever you can without too much pain. When I began the RD I remember Restingtree said the exercise mantra at the Rice House in Durham was just walking. So start there if you can. I remember when I started even walking hurt my knees, back, etc. I was very out of shape. I am amazed at what all I can do now, even for a 56 year old! Thanks to the RD!
This morning, I got in very little rebound jogging but will do more tonight.
Since you and your bf are doing this together, maybe you can get the resistance gizmo that Dr Oz showed on his show lately that the couples worked out with. I remember this one couple were getting married and trying to shape up for the wedding. Sounds like it might be fun to do it together. Anyway the resistance band they talked about I found at TJ MAXX and looks like a fan belt in a car, only attached in the middle if that makes sense. One person holds the middle while the other grabs the ends by their right and left hand and does squats, and arm exercises.
Hope this helps.

I have been missing your posts. So sorry you are not well, hope you get to feeling better soon girl! Thanks for the encouragement. We all lift each other by the bootstraps around here and it WORKS! So hang with us and get to feeling better. Then we will exercise together via these threads. It helps to have company on here.
BTW, I was FINALLY down a pound this morning. Dare I to believe I have busted through a looooong plateau? That makes 19 pounds off since the beginning of this year. It comes off so sloooooow for me! However, I have renewed faith that I will get there eventually. I do believe I feel muscle under this flab for the first time in a long time so Jillian's shred DVD is doing some good!
Feel better soon Dana! I need you on here.

After reading you this summer, each hotel on my coming trip will have a gym and an indoor pool, either on premises or nearby. So I have no choice but to eat muffins and workout ... but will not forgo high falutin fresh-water sardines.
At one of the places I will stop, my local person's wife is on the city council (they call it something different) and she has suggested I sign up for their area's weight loss contest. Have a feeling I will be the token American lard ---, per Jay Leno. But may do it anyway and enjoy it.
Thanks for the guiding light ... thanks for being here.

You are the star ricer with all the weight-loss progress you have made on the scale. I pale in comparison! Amazing lift though the 1 pound loss on the scale gave me today!
Keep eating the sardines, they are a great source of omega 3 as you already know, even if they do taste disgusting to me! We have come such a long way with this weighty issue of ours. I am thankful for this forum and all the friends I have met along the way. You my friend are a huge inspiration and help with all the knowledge you have shared along the way.
Yes by all means, get a hotel with a fitness room at least. No more dogbites, etc., while trying to walk down the corridors of the hotel.
Jillian is amazing and if you just do some of the moves she suggests on the 30 day shred DVD you will be amazed at how her work-outs sculpt the body. She is tough and the entire 20 minutes you are REALLY working hard. So watch the heart if you decide to take a look at it. (attempting to stifle Mother Hen)
I am enjoying the Hogsdon Mill with Soy and Flax cereal. I use it for my pancake in the morning. Maybe that is why I had a loss today? I will take it!!!
Take care, wherever your travels find you this week and Happy Exercising!

@Jrschka You should make the kids try to exercise with you! I don't have kids but if I can get my puppy to join me I think you can get the kids to join you
@Opals, Watching tv is awesome when doing cardio. Our gym here has mini tvs on all the cardio equipment, so if I'm going to watch tv I'll be at the gym jogging as well. Sometimes I'll even play the workout dvd on my laptop and watch TV on the side *evil laughter*
@dtootsie, My dad use to make a kind of fruit salad when 'us kids' would get sick. It was cut up Oranges, banana, strawberries, blueberries, and grapes with honey drizzled on top. Always seemed to boost our immune system. I honestly can't remember the last time I was sick, I hope you feel better.

I laughed at the dog and the stairs video. Too cute! I have had to forego the stairs for awhile due to the dumb OLD knees started acting up! It is the pits to get OLD!
However, this week, we are at Clearwater Beach, FL so I am getting plenty of walking, pool exercise, etc. in. Trying to make wise food choices but it is H A R D when you are away from home. Got breakfast covered tomorrow with oatmeal and fruit in my room. Maybe a McDonalds salad for lunch since they are right next door to our hotel and just across the street from the beach. Dinner will be somewhere I can find salad and baked potato!
You all keep moving while I am gone!
