I am starting this diet starting today. I was at 320 lbs with a 53" waist. So I am exited to start this new way of eating and start dropping some serious weight so I can lose 100 lbs. B)

WTG Greg, getting started is the first step. Ask away if you have any questions, we have some great folks who can answer!

WTG Greg. Amazingly pretty basic foods will start to taste really good after a week of low sodium. In the meantime, add some spices and hopefully that will help!

Last night was a little tough. I really wanted to pig out, however, I didn't. I am weighing in this morning at 310.

NICE JOB! I make salsa all the time.....easy to do and can be doctored up too....and it is just veggies.

I also make home made chili sauce (meatless, a recipe from my Great Great grandmother). That takes a lot longer (I cook it all day, then can it) but it is SO SO SO GOOD! And I can eat essentially as much as I want....it is just a bunch of veggies and spices.

YOU ARE ROCKING GREG! WAY TO GO! That must feel very motivating...to have resisted and seen a positive result! I love that!

Well yesturday I got really light headed and dizzy around lunch time after I ate my prepared meal. I had my wife bring me some other foods and I went off my diet for the evening. Has anyone experience this before? Well I am back at it again. I figured I may have to eat a regular meal every few days. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.. Weighed in at 311

thanks

Hi Greg,
are you using the new plan with protein or the old plan with only one night a week of protein?

It may be that you need to break your meals/snacks up further and eat less more often. Or it may be that you'd be better off switching to the higher protein plan if you are on the lower. The higher protein plan is in a woman's world article that is posted by Sparticles somewhere on here, you could do a search for it.

Good luck!

Hi Greg!
I agree with Kat....you may need to do the 3oz of protein a night plan. Everything else is essentially the same. Especially because of the Type II diabetes.

Greg, I think going 'off plan' every once in a while is unavoidable. The key for me seems to be when I go off, not to go back to eating non-nutritious foods, but to eat more of plan foods, or at least healthy, whole foods. Good for you for getting back up on the horse again...and for posting so regularly. It really helps.

I am doing the old plan with protein once a week. I am hypoglycemic and this diet is messing up my blood sugar. I really do like the results, but, I drive for a living and I cannot afford to be light headed, in an instant I could seriously injure some poor innocent person and I could not live with that coincident.
