Woo hoo! My evening weight loss stuck around until today! The scale has been moving slowly, and now there's a big drop. Sometimes that's how it happens. But I'll take it! This also means I finally hit 30 pounds! I couldn't resist changing my ticker.

I didn't make it to the gym last night. I was getting ready for my trip. (And also I didn't poop!) And I ate a whole bag of frozen asparagus last night! Many reasons for no loss today. But I've had a loss every day for the last 10 days, so that's pretty good.
I won't be able to weigh in again until I get back. I don't really think I'll go overboard in New Orleans. Not much to eat for a vegetarian! I'll probably find a Chinese place and order white rice and steamed broccoli every day. But I DO plan to get a beignet! That will be my indulgence. But I can't indulge too much cuz I want to fit in that airplane seat on the way home!

http://greekfood.abo...ummustahini.htm I would leave the water out as it would appear to make it rather runny as one reviewer wrote after. Now I am going to add this to my food list as I used to do this quite a bit in college and totally forgot how easy it is to make until you mentioned hummus. How exciting to got to New Orleans, Cajun country food yummy. there are veetarian crepes to try there should be some creperies there. I try to do 20 minutes outside for a quick walk. more than that and i don't want to go out the next day as my joints get sore.

I just have to share a link. I found an article about the Rice Diet on the McDougall web site. There is a picture of two people who went through the program back in the '60s. I just love the picture of the women. She looks so sad and grumpy at her starting weight. But after 10 months and 120 pounds, she is radiant!

Today's weight: 313.6
Today is my TOPS weigh in. I joined last week and weighed in for the first time, so this is the first week I can post a loss. Their scale weighs different from mine, but down is down. I ate out quite a few times this week, much more than usual. In fact, I'm having lunch with a friend today! And the weigh in isn't until this evening. So I'll have to eat foods that don't weigh much. : )

First of all, I'm glad you joined tops...even tho I know little about them...it's good to have local support. I NEED my local, like-minded friends like I need air. The other thing that has helped me is to keep my focus on living a healthy life, rather than weight loss. Kind of puts things in perspective for me and allows me to consider my whole being instead of just my diet...if you know what I mean.
So good to hear from you, Mary, and thanks for the link.

I didn't get a chance to post this morning before going to work, but I did weight myself! Last night at the TOPS meeting, I was down 3 pounds! Their scale weighed me heavier, but also showed a bigger loss this week than my scale. So weird.
Thanks for the welcome back, Leeney! It's good to be back and on track!

I'm very stressed today. Getting ready to move, family dinner, work worries. I'm nibbling like crazy! And tomorrow is the super bowl! I have some healthy snacks planned though.
Good idea planning some healthy snacks. Hang in there and good luck. You're doing great!

I woke up with a crick in my neck. I can barely move! But if I can't move, I can't put food in my mouth, right? I spent a lot of time under the shower and that helped. Now I'm on a heating pad. I hope to be limbered up enough to go to my boyfriend's house for the superbowl. I'm making some fat free brownies, (the leftovers will stay at his house!) popcorn with braggs, and hummus and pepper pinwheels.
Once my neck is better, my next goal is to get back to the gym!

I'm surprised by my weight today. I didn't consciously limit myself. But I had fun watching the superbowl! I guess that's the secret to living a healthy happy life. Enjoy it and don't obsess about food!
My neck is better, but still sore. Maybe that was why I didn't have much of an appetite. I'll take what I can get!
I hope everyone had fun watching the superbowl too...or whatever you chose to do yesterday.
