Quick note, I'm down another few oz. Yay? And I wish I was losing faster though. But any loss is a Good loss.

Had good and bad news at the dentist, only lost one tooth! yay! The one that the Dr. was sure was really bad underneath turned out to be in much better shape than expected and they cleaned up and sat a temp crown until the new one is made.

the bad part, I guess kinda bad, I don't know. The extraction went well, two seconds it was out, BUT later after the gauze came out, there was a partial root left in the crater. hahaha of COURSE there was! We have something in our family called the Case Curse,. It's similar to Murphys Law.

I'm in no pain and just a tiny bit sore, but I'm waiting for a call from the dentist to see if they are going to have to dig that sucker out. sigh,

I ate pretty normal yesterday other than 8 tater tots and yes they did have some salt on them and I probably would be down a few more oz, IF I hadn't had them.

My daughter was not feeling good, but she went with me and was so good that dad bought her (and himself) breakfast afterwards. Fast food breakfast. I went home and had the rest of my oatmeal and THEN ate 8 leftover tater tots later.

But I need to get her up and going.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Hugs

Good Morning, down a few more oz, was 47.00 and today 46.2

I'm gettting closer, one of the short term goals was to be at my 200 lbs gone mark by my daughters next cardiac check up, which is the 22 of FEB so if I behave myself and the creek don't rise Divinity willing, then I will make that.

Today though is our Community Basket day and that always has lots of GOOD food and some not so good food included., mostly organic "snack" items that overall are better than the popular and mainstream snack items but still much higher in sodium than what I should have. BUT it's a choice in the end and I have learned to accept the consequences of my choices.

Going to see my mom tomorrow so I can unload any bad for me food on her,, hehehe

Lots to do today.
Hugs

Well yesterday I hit 244.4 and even though I felt "puffy" last evening and was griping at my huz, that more than likely I was going to see an increase in the scale this morning, I was down 2 oz.

So I have met my first goal and on to working on getting the next (bad bad math skills here)44.2
pounds off to reach an even 200 pounds. At that weight, I'm still "overweight" but considering where I started. When I get there, I will start thinking about of I want to go lower or not, I'm thinking 170 would be a good eventual Goal goal weight.
My husband just weighed and he is 177.4, he has been down to 172.00 and that is a good healthy weight for him. lol, he has lost weight just by me not cooking like I used to and restructuring and bullying him, into compliance. It's been a struggle at times, but we found a picture of him the other day when he was around 245, right about where I am now and we were both amazed at how different he looks now.

Anyway hopefully tomorrow my weight will continue it's downward trend, but I'm miss Fluctuation. But I'm pretty sure by the 22 that I will be down even farther.

This is what I have on the menu for today.
Breakfast 1/2 cup dry oatmeal (cooked in the bowl) with 1/2 dry banana slices. 1 tablespoon non dairy creamer and 2 packets of sucrolose sweetner. I add lots of boiling water, to make it soupy because I love thin oatmeal.

Lunch
1 pomegranate, 1 cup green beans and 1 cup brown rice that I make into a soup with lots of spices and a scant teaspoon of no salt chicken bullion (gold? or soup base? hmmm?)gain Bad spelling skills and the speel checker does not know my intent.
1 cup of sugar snap peas if I'm still hungry or I may save those at add to dinner,

Dinner! I have a whole bunch of dibs and dabs in the fridge that I need to make into soup.
And I may make a loaf of low sodium bread to go with it.
We have an unopened little block of cheese in the fridge I can slice thin and broil to add some flavor for the kid and husband on theirs. Cheese holds little fascination for me anymore.

I do have a tub of unflavored yogurt to add to the bread. mmm, that may add a sourdough flavor.

anyway dinner will be bread and a cup of soup.

Hi! Bonnie, hey we had some raccoons digging around in our compost pile the other morning. I just hope one is not a young female looking for to break into our attic "again" to find a spot to have her babies. Squirrels, raccoons and possums, in the middles of Portland OR. I swear. And coyotes, though I haven't seen any of those personally. Someone must have trapped the skunk that was inhabiting the area as I haven't smelled it in a few months.

Have a Good Rice Day.

I need another cuppa coffee, and cast on to my next sock.

Peace and Hugs,
Not pieces of bugs.

You're doing so well, Cat. It's not easy when you're a fluctuator. Kind of sounds like the fflux capacitor in the Back to the Future movies. Unfortunately, I'm heading in the wrong direction right now. A dear friend in Indiana lives close to a Fannie May outlet. There was a sale. And now I have four pounds of Fannie May, courtesy of my friend. Or I should say "had" four pounds. I've been taking candy out of the boxes and adding it to my hips on a regular basis. I've got to get back on track. I'm an addict with candy. I should just inject it directly into my bloodstream.

Lovely weather here in the Midwest now. We're in for a high of 60 today. Last year at this time we had two feet of snow.

Linda, I'm sorry to say I don't know what or who, Fannie May is, but if she is anything like "Sara Lee" hehe.

This was one thing that kicked me into a losing mode again, I think.. I cut out pretty much all sugar from my diet. I was going strictly on calories consumed and including over the holidays some treats and trying to keep within a certain range of calories, and even though it was under 2000 cal. a day I was stalled and or gaining a bit.
I cut out refined sugar about 3 weeks ago and have seen the result. I have read that sugar is almost as bad as sodium in making some people retain water. Maybe that is why I have been dropping. I doan know.

Just keep at it, that is all I do, I trip, and fall but I keep saying Do OVER!!! :) sometimes it seems like it's a few steps forward and then a little back.

Hugs

This morning I was down 4 more oz. yay!
Baked bread yesterday and it was so so so good, I used my 1993 second hand good old bread machine and here is the recipe

2 cups better for bread flour
1 cup Whole Wheat flour (my fave Stone Bhur or Bobs Red Mill)
1 cup of plain active yogurt (warmed to a little warmer than tepid)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon sea salt I would have omitted this but I have problems with my bread over growing in the rise and then collapsing when it starts to bake, salt controls the yeast.
1 teaspoon (scant really) of quick start yeast.
And I ended up adding a bit more warm water to the knead as it was to dry and rose above the paddle. My bread machine is a little temperamental and must be coddled.
I had to stand there and push the ball down on the paddle with a fork for a few minutes to get the extry water to knead in.
But it worked and it baked up very good.

Today I am doing another loaf for my mother, but with no yogurt as she can't have milk products.
I'll make some raisin bread I think for her.

We will be over at her house for a large part of the day tomorrow. *head desk* as she is getting a hot water heater installed. And she can't hear thunder, so she lets my husband or brother deal with repair people and the like.

Gah! she keeps her house 78 degrees which is a little to warm for me. Though as I get older that seems to bother me less as I am getting "old and cold" myself.

Hugs and Have a good weekend.

You're on a roll with the weight loss, girlfriend! Keep it up. I know that sugar is the enemy, at least in my case. I usually use maple syrup, honey or sometimes agave, but I'm thinking about cutting them out too. On my good days, i have maybe 1-2 tsp. in my morning tea and that's it for refined sweets for me. I do have a fondness for dried fruits though, and have to be careful of those.

Have fun this weekend.

Down 2.6 lbs. from the last weight, yay.
Yesterday was stress city, (Sunday) we had spent most of Sat. with my mother, but we took over "good" food and I had no problems with choices, except my husband treated me to a Latte as a surprise on the way over and he got the fake sugar right, but it had real cream in it, it didn't seem to affect me though.

Yesterday was just a nightmare. This is long and invovled and I want to gripe so I'm going to write, I have been wanting an electric kettle to make my oatmeal and tea during the day, as I plonk a regular tea kettle on the stove on low all day and, I got to thinking, how much energy is that using all day long just to keep me in tea water, So I was researching lectric kettles, Now I am a person who. When I want something I want it. Yeah Instant gratification BabY! And that is probably why, I got as big as a house. *re directing mind, Stay on track Cat*

So I find a couple of models and brands that I am interested in online and then I try and see if any of our local stores have this item IN STOCK, because, GD it I don't want to freaking have it shipped! I want my freaking oatmeal made with the new electric kettle Right Dang Now!

Trying to figure out, who has what online is CRAZY! Best Buy had scads and scads of options and choices, And several other places but the in stock feature was either not working or you had to order the item and have it shipped to home or to store. This is NOT immediate! So Husband say, let's go. There was a coupon at Bi Mart that was for a kind that was really cheap! 9.99 but I knew it prolly was not going to be big enough, but they may have other models. Coupon on is to small and I want a cordless base,. the only other one they had was clunky looking and designed poorly and difficult for me to pour. But I did get a new fry pan, which I am not sure that I like yet.

Anyway, Huz says. WalPlace, They Have Too Have something! no. Same stuff as Bi Mart, higher prices. <_<

Ok, Best Buy. Where I saw what I wanted but, they had a confusing in stock thing.
We go to them, and I have to ORDER at the STORE what I want.
I like to touch things and pick them up and make sure they are right for me, to examine and speculate on how it handles and functions. They have freaking 50,000 coffee makers in stock but what I want? No.

And the guy there was just so... sans personality and grudgingly helpful, because WE weren't interested in a big Dang Purchase! I'm still a Frack Raking customer you idiot. And no I do not want a 5.00 protection plane on a 24.00 tea kettle. Bite Me!

I'm getting old.

Traffic was not bad, but the people who WERE out on the roads were Nuts! Or Drunk or Both and we almost got hit twice and some nut job in a BMW would not let my husband get over in the turn lane and they were talking on their cell phone, eyeing us in our little dirty bird pooped KIA, like we were maggots! BITE ME BMW! And get the Heck off of your Phone you Elitist Turkey Nugget, it's against the freaking law!

We are in a dry and windy phase the sun was just incredibly bright and head numbingly painful for me even with sunglasses, I'm very light sensitive. By the time we got home I had a stress and a sun headache started.

Then my DH says ShooT I forgot to pick up my prescriptions. So he Zooms back out as he doesn't want to miss the start of the game. *insert retching noise here* No I'm not a foot ball fan, though I can and do tolerate it somewhat,. though the noise bothers me.
We used to have fairly good sized SuperBowl celebrations, and have SCADS of food, all snack crud and high salt junk, but that has been stopped. Husband says that he want's a little terriaki chicken and maybe some sushi. What ever. So he brings back The worst looking terriyaki chicken I have ever seen in my life. Gross. I was not intending to eat it anyway, but still, it was NOT terriacki chicken. Smurfs must have made this. Because whoever did had NO idea what Terriyaki chicken is about. Obviously.

And he bought some "sushi" Pre prepared packaged sushi rolls that Expensive and for Sushi, high in salt. Over 500mg per serving. And I don't know how fresh this stuff is.
I said, I'm not eating that gwarp. Indignant Hostility directed my way. Bite Me!

Plus they hadn't even supplied any rice with the Smurf made terriyucky chicken, and of course, what didn't I have in the refridge? For once in my life? So I had to make some for him. Because he didn't want it over whole wheat pasta.

I went to bed with a blinking head ache and a husband with his guts grumbling all night,.
But at least I lost 2 pounds.

There was lots of other stuff to madden me, yesterday but I'm not going to relate or revisit because I'm going to try and attain a Zen state and regrounding today,.

I love you all.

Peace and Hugs

Reading your post Cat has been the hi-light of my reading today. It was like watching a video going through my mind, I didn't have to be there to enjoy it. Congratulations on your new weight loss, the food you described sounded so gross, I'm so glad you didn't consume any of that 500mg. per serving sushi rolls. I've attached a picture to show you how I feel. Continue the good work you're doing. Bonnie

Leeney, I can go to the site but the video won't play, my computer sometimes has seizures and is fickle about YouTube and videos.

(I used to be able to load a DVD in my computer and watch it, but when they install the new replacement hard drive the "Neglected" to add the software the was included with my original HD.)

Anyway what or Whoever Axezander Hicks is, I'm sure they/he is lovely!
