I haven't yet tried quinoa, but I did finally get some, and have it in the pantry waiting. It's been pretty patient so far. Hasn't started jumping up and down or screaming for attention.

I just came across these recipes for quinoa and thought I would share the link. I AM NOT CERTAIN THAT EVERYTHING IN THESE RECIPES ARE TOTALLY RD-FRIENDLY! They looked okay to me, of course with leaving out the salt the recipes call for, but I'm new around here, so maybe I missed something. Please don't shoot me. It would be a waste of good quinoa that's not cooked up yet.

Anyway, here's the link to the recipes.....

Quinoa recipes here

Bon appetite! ;)

Hey! Cool.. I will check them out, I love quinoa, depending where I have bought it and the variety it might be, it can have a bit of a bitter taste to it. I have found that soaking the grain in water for 10 minutes and then gently scrubbing the grains between the palms of my hands and rinsing can greatly reduce the bitterness. The last time I cooked it though I toasted it in a hot pan before cooking as normal in my rice cooker and it was the BEST quinoa I have ever cooked.

Thanks for the links!
