I hope everyone had a good new year znd that ot lasts throughout the year. I got on the scale yesterday as my new years resolution is to get physically and emotionally healthy. The damage wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. How did everyone else do?

Hi Beth! Mine wasn't as bad as I'd expected either, but that's probably because I'd done a lot of damage before the holidays. I'm ready to work on it. You've got a good new years resolution. Mine is to use the dieta to get my blood pressure down as much as I can. I'm on Diovan, and I'd really like to get off it.

I want to get off some meds as well. I'm on colesterol medication and when I was consistantly on this dieta and had lost 75 pounds, I didn't need it. That is again a goal as well as feel the way I felt when I was eating healthier. I actually notice a difference in the way I feel when I am eating right. I feel lighter (not bloated) and able to think more clearly. My lupus also acts out more when I am eating processed food. I have gained back most of the weight I lost (again) because I gave up over the holidays. I am back (again) and hopefully to stay. I lost some 2.5 pounds of water weight from yesterday--good start.
