Rhonda. Been worrying about what to say about your husband's illness. Just decided to make certain you know thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Know you are wrapped in God's arms.
Thanks for always being here.

Thanks Restingtree, you are a pillar of this forum and I so appreciate your comforting words. GOD is definitely my source of strength and I never underestimate the power of my friends' prayers.
A shout-out to everyone that I am hanging in there and eating healthily and doing some small work-outs at home on my makeshift gym which I have placed in my family room. (rebounder, recumbent bike and eliptical). Thank goodness, the room is huge and has tall ceilings! But it beats going to the gym and something to be said about working out in the comfort of home and by yourself so that you don't get the stares of others. I find that if I don't do it first thing in the morning I "cop out" by the end of the day with the "weinie wearies".
Monica, I read your journal most every day and admire that you are steadily re-thinking all the "foodie" issues of your life. Keep at it girl! You will get there, one day at a time.

Thought I would drop in here and give everyone an update on hubs. He had his 6 week post-op surgery check-up and he doesn't have to go back for 3 more months to keep a check on PSA count. It was 0.02 Doc would like to see it at 0.01 but any ZERO is G R E A T!!! So thanks to all who held us in your prayers and thoughts. There are issues one has to deal with after this type of surgery but we are most thankful they are issues we can deal with. We are just thankful the cancer seemed to be contained and had not spread.
He and I both are trying to eat healthy whole foods (fruits, veggies, sprouted grain bread, etc). He is a trooper and hanging in there with me.

Rhonda, I'm so happy to hear the good news about DH's check up. It is wonderful that both of you are eating healthy whole foods. It makes it so much easier when you can support one another like that!
Sending you both much love!

Aww, thanks everyone for the cheers. You all are the best. We are alkalizing our diets to see if that will help, however he is getting so skinny on it I have to add more food back in for him. As for me, eating more alkaline (which is much like the dieta) I am seeing the scale slowly moving downward. Woot woot!
