Well I started this journey on 1/13/12. I weighed in at the DR office at 228 lbs. this is the highest that I have ever been. I took a long hard look at what worked for me in the past and I came back to The Rice Diet. This has worked for me in the past and I know it will work again as long I make the right changes in my life. Now that Gluten Free is a part of my life I know that the Rice Diet will work well for me.

Yes, yes, if it worked before it will work for you again. It seems like just about everything is being touted as 'gluten free' these days, so hopefully that won't be a problem for you.

Checking in today. I am feeling better today. I don't feel tired to much and I do feel like my clothes are a little loose. The scale moves very little but in time I will meet my goal. I need to take in a little more water. My mood is better and I feel that I am going in the right direction. Take care to All!!!

helenann,
as long as you stay with it, you will get results. The only thing I've done correctly on this program is to keep at it.

Happy Friday!!! Well I have been on the RD now for about 2 weeks. And I do feel better. Yesterday I had a little slip up and ate some stuff that I shouldn't of had. And, today the scale told me that this morning. I know better then to eat junk, so from this point I will do better!!

Happy Friday!! Well I stayed the same and I know why. 1. I didn't keep a food log. 2. I wasn't careful with my portions. 3. I didn't drink enough water. So, as of today I will log my food and portions and will drink my water. I, also work at a food company where there is always cakes and cookies around. But since I have been watching my eating, and trying to eat gluten-free the junk here doesn't get to me. But we do have a flourless chocolate cake which is good. AND I AM STAYING AWAY FROM!!! Take Care Everyone and have a Great Weekend!!!

Good for you for figuring out so quickly what your issues were and taking steps to correct. I admire you for being so restrained around cake and cookies. For me, proximity can be my downfall. I just don't keep that stuff around, but sometimes it's unavoidable and the temptation is great. I do think though, that the more we can resist, the easier the resistance becomes.
Keep up the good work and have a great weekend

Hi All, Well I had a big slip up and my weight went up to 234 2/27/12. I am not happy about this. Alot of changes at work and at home. But I am back on track. I have to just keep on thinking about my goal!!!
Life isn't perfect, and neither are we. Just get back on track and keep going. I think how we handle slip-ups predicts how well we'll do over time. Don't let yourself get thrown off course permanently. Hang in there, Helen!
